Aegis uses state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms to receive and process video feeds from its built-in camera (or, soon, any existing IP camera or CCTV camera). Once received, the video evaluates numerous criteria that can affect public health and risk, including mask-wearing rates, social-distancing violations, and people-density management, to better understand the risk of transmission among individuals in a specific location.

Aegis is built on the IBM cloud, and is capable of tapping into any camera feed. In addition, we have developed a turnkey hardware option based on the NVIDIA Jetson Nano board for edge processing and a custom-designed CAD enclosure.
